The next major version of Identity Vault is on its way! We are really excited for you to try out the next iteration of our secure mobile biometrics plugin. In this new version, you can expect a completely new API that drastically simplifies how to work with Identity Vault and increases the level of customization that you can bring to your application. Additionally, Identity Vault 5 supports choosing between Android strong vs weak biometrics.
To help with the adoption of this new version of Identity Vault, we've put together a getting started guide, which walks you through the basics of the new API. In addition, there are several other features that you should explore in the reference docs.
To install the beta version of Identity Vault, include the next tag when installing the package:
npm i @ionic-enterprise/identity-vault@next
Without that next tag, you will install the current version of Identity Vault (v4).
Note that Identity Vault v5 will not be backward compatible with v4. However, as part of the final release, we'll include a simple tool to automatically migrate v4-based data to v5.
If you have any questions or run into any bugs, please reach out to email@example.com! We'd love to hear how things are going for you and how we can improve Identity Vault further.Read More
